What We Do:
Clothes Make The Man is dedicated to helping low income and disadvantaged men who are entering or re-entering the workforce by providing them with business and interviewing attire, career development and life-skills counseling. We work to break the cycle of poverty and despair by empowering our clients to become successful self-sufficient, contributing members of the community by obtaining “living-wage” employment.
Clothes Make The Man serves as a one stop resource center for men who are already working with state and local social service agencies, work-release programs, transitional employment programs, men’s shelters, rehabilitation centers and more.. Each man is treated as an individual and with dignity and respect no matter where he comes from. Our trained staff provides more then just a suit; they give individualized attention and counseling to each man as needed. Every man gains confidence and improved self-esteem with new knowledge about grooming, business and interview etiquette, how to present themselves and interviewing skills. Our ongoing workshops augment the skills needed to find and keep employment.
Clothes Make The Man provides these services:
• An individually fitted new or nearly new “Interview Appropriate” suit or outfit prior to a job interview or in some circumstances when the client is beginning a job search.
• A second complete outfit after being hired.
• A third complete outfit after successfully completing 12 consecutive months of employment
• Personalized grooming and style advice.
• Interviewing etiquette and tips
• A “Getting the Job” information packet.
• Continuing education workshops
• Employment referrals and access to our Job Board.
